On Sunday, October 1, 2017 the Congenital Heart Defect Coalition will be hosting its 10th Annual CHD Awareness Walk at Darlington Park in Mahwah, NJ. This event is the only one of its kind in the state of New Jersey, attracting well over 1,400 participants encompassing families, doctors, nurses, and business people from all over New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. The CHD Awareness Walk raises funds to support families affected by a congenital heart defect (CHD) or acquired heart disease, and to advance critical lifesaving research programs.

Online registration ends Saturday, September 30th at 3 PM. We STRONGLY recommend you register in advance online and save $5. Registration at Darlington Park will start at 10 AM on October 1st for $30.

Event Information
CHD Coalition’s “Congenital Heart Defect Awareness Walk” is much more than a fundraiser. It is a magnificent event that allows families and friends to publicly rally in support of their special CHD Warrior. It honors the Angels who have lost their battle to congenital heart defects through an emotional butterfly release ceremony. It is like no other benefit walk by providing games, activities, food, and music to deliver a truly unique experience. This event brings the community together to escalate public awareness, sustain lifesaving research, and improve the lives of individuals affected by CHD. Together, we are united to make a change.
This event is the CHD Coalition’s largest of the year, and it allows us to help advance lifesaving medical research, provide scholarships to CHD Survivors, and deliver various other programs that directly impact the CHD community and hospitals. The CHD Coalition is a volunteer based organization with no salaried employees, which ensures that donations will be used to advance its mission.
